They are also important because it has been able to tell the number of people that have actually showed up to vote in accordance with the number of registered voters.

Keeping track of the various statistics that go into the voting processes have been a big job to many. The importance that these statistics have will never change. As society changes, the different things that they value in an official will as well. Statistics can help to keep track of which way voters tend to sway.
